Eine schöne Geschichte: Candi Staton wird 1986 gebeten, ein Lied für eine Doku über einen schwer fettleibigen Mann einzusingen. Der Film verschwindet in der Schublade, die Macher des Films können sie nicht bezahlen und treten Verwertungsrechte an sie ab. Gras wächst über die Sache. Paar Jahre später taucht das Vocal in England wieder auf, diesmal als eines der ersten Mash-ups der Geschichte, nämlich mit Frankie Knuckles / Jamie Principles "Your love" verrührt. Der Track wird ein Hit. Noch paar Jahre später manipuliert Wishdokta aka The Dok ein wenig den BPM-Zähler und bringt das Stück in himmlische Höhen. Das ist UK hardcore, das ist proper cheese, das ist ganz zauberhaft! Und Millenials / der Mainstream hören die Version von Florence & the machine, die auch völlig in Ordnung geht.
